Way of working
Functional medicine investigates the root causes of the health condition using an approach focused on the entire body, and creating a therapeutic partnership between the patient and the doctor.
4 Distinct working phases
Improving or changing lifestyle involves a long-term transformation process that goes through 4 consecutive phases.
The purpose of functional medicine is the individual treatment of the patient, this is why the first visit in the functional medicine cabinet consists of a detailed conversation with the physician about:
- personal medical history
- level of physical exercise
- diet
- family history
- lifestyle habits
- emotional stress
Cost for the first visit: 300 Eur, 90min
Preparing for the first functional medicine visit:
For the first functional medicine visit, the patient needs to present his or her personal medical file and to discuss it in detail with the doctor. Also the patient should inform the doctor about the medicines and nutritional supplements that are being taken.
Following the study of the medical history, lifestyle and discussion with the patient, the doctor can outline possible treatment options and recommend conventional laboratory tests and specific functional medicine tests necessary to identify any underlying causes of symptoms presented by the patient.
Laboratory tests
Are not included in the first visit (they have separate cost), and the patient can choose any option for the laboratory tests, but it is recommended to be done at the same laboratory and from the same blood sample.
The functional medicine laboratory testing
Is to evaluate nutritional, biochemical, or physiological imbalance and to determine any need for medical referral. These lab tests are not intended to diagnose disease, but are designed to assist the doctors and other healthcare providers in finding the underlying causes of the patient condition.
The functional medicine laboratory testing has a separate cost (starting from Eur 1.500/set of selected testing) and is necessary to customize the health plan.
The functional medicine testing include:
- endocrinology profile
- genetic testing
- genomic testing
- GI profile
- immune profile
- nutritional profile
- microbiome, etc.
Stress test and plethysmography
It is done with the Max Pulse machine.
The bio-impedance assessment and the plethysmography have a separate cost and are necessary to personalize the health plan.
The body needs time to recover, which is why the packages following the first functional medicine visit start at 3 months. These packages are individualized for 3 months, 6 months or 1 year, based on the patient’s health conditions.

- the quality of science behind the product;
- the quality of the ingredients themselves;
- the quality of the manufacturing process;
- the synergism among product components.
Nutritional supplements are not included in the prevention packages and involve a separate cost.
Certain lab testing is recommended each 3 months, 6 months or 1 year in order to evaluate the progress.
In the last phase when the health balance is restored, the patient theoretically has the information and tools needed to continue the journey. FAQ

Technically, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids, herbs, or homeopathic remedies are not classified as drugs. However, these substances can have significant effects on physiology and must be used rationally.
The chief reason we make these products available is to ensure quality. While these supplements may come at a higher financial cost than those found on the shelves of pharmacies or health food stores, the value must also include assurance of their purity, quality, bio-availability (ability to be properly absorbed and utilized by the body), and effectiveness.
You are not guaranteed the same level of quality when you purchase your supplements from the general marketplace. We are not suggesting that such products have no value; however, given the lack of stringent testing requirements for dietary supplements, product quality varies widely.
Our treatment plans do not take into account children under the age of 18.
